of the square.
No chain, no franchise formula, no investor. Just a friture on Jacob van Campenplein that has outlasted most of the shops around it.

There is nothing complicated about what we do. Fresh chips, fried twice. Snacks that only hit the oil once you've ordered. A menu with a hundred and thirty-seven things on it, so there is always something for the person who “wasn't really hungry”.

Three things we
never budge on.
Frying to your clock
Your order only hits the oil once your collection time is near. That is why it is hot when you walk in, rather than lukewarm from a quarter of an hour under a lamp.
Cut fresh, fried twice
The chips are cut here and fried twice: once to cook them through, once for the crust. And because you carry them home yourself, that crust survives the trip — a chip does not survive a scooter ride.
Complete and on time
“Never a mistake” is the phrase our customers use most. That is no accident: every order is checked before it reaches the counter.

We are very careful with food allergies and intolerances while preparing your order. Even so, cross-contamination of allergens in a deep-frying kitchen can never be fully ruled out — we would rather be honest about that than sound reassuring.

iDEAL, card, wallet, or simply cash
Online you pay with iDEAL (Wero), your debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or Bancontact. You finish the payment in your own bank's or card issuer's secure environment — we never see your card details. We charge no service fee. Prefer the counter? Pay cash.

Short and clear
Do you deliver?
No. All orders are for collection at Jacob van Campenplein 196 in Rotterdam. Which means you never pay a delivery fee here.
How do I choose my collection time?
When ordering online you pick a slot yourself, in ten-minute steps, up to 21:00. We cook towards it.
I didn't get a confirmation email
Check your spam folder first — it sometimes ends up there. If it isn't there either, give us a call on 010 – 220 02 77 and we'll check whether your order came through.
I have a discount code
At step 2 of the order process, where you fill in your details, click “Enter discount code”. The discount comes straight off the total, or the free product is added to your basket right away.
Can I place a large order?
Certainly. For party platters and group orders it's best to call, so we can guarantee your slot. Have a look at the Catering page too.
What are your opening hours?
Monday 15:00–21:00, Tuesday to Saturday 12:00–21:00 and Sunday 13:00–21:00. At the top of every page you can see live whether we are open right now.
